Edgewood Stabbing Victim Robbed of Prescriptions, Money: Sheriff

Three children were home at the time, Harford County Sheriff's Office reported.

A man was in serious condition following a stabbing overnight in Edgewood, according to a report from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

At 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to the 1000 block of Waterside Court, where a resident had been stabbed, according to a report from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

The 42-year-old man said he answered the door, and three men demanded prescription medication and money; at some point, they got into an altercation and he was stabbed, causing injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, the report said.

One suspect went upstairs and demanded money and prescription drugs from the victim’s wife, according to the report.

The suspects left with prescription drugs, a cell phone and an undisclosed amount of money, the sheriff’s office reported.

Police said three children ages 12 and under were in the home at the time, but they were not aware of the robbery.

The stabbing victim was taken in serious condition to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported just after midnight on Friday.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office reported that it was looking for three suspects in connection with the robbery, which deputies believed was targeted.
