Bel Air Rape Suspect is 'High Risk' Reoffender: Report
The man convicted in Bel Air parking garage assault may reportedly need therapy.
The Bel Air man charged with rape after a sexual encounter in the Hickory Avenue parking garage last fall may reportedly have to undergo therapy as part of his probation.
David Eric Corn Jr., 26, of the 1100 block of Pericles Court, was sentenced to five years of supervised probation after he admitted to second-degree assault and entered an Alford plea to a second-degree sex offense. An Alford plea means he knew there was enough evidence to convict him.
Corn allegedly met a woman at the Tower Restaurant on Oct. 11, 2014, then raped and assaulted her with his younger brother in the Hickory Avenue parking garage in Bel Air, according to police.

While conducting a routine evaluation as part of his probation, Corn’s parole officer determined he was at high risk of reoffending based on his marital status, age and criminal record, The Aegis reported.
Corn was convicted twice of second-degree assault in 2012 and found guilty of public urination in 2014, according to court records.

At the recommendation of the parole and probation agent, Harford County Circuit Court Judge Elizabeth Bowen ordered Corn undergo a mental health evaluation on his own dime to determine whether he needs therapy or education characteristically required to rehabilitate sex offenders, although Corn is not required to register as a sex offender as part of his sentence, according to The Aegis.
Corn’s younger brother, Ryan Corn, 22, was found not guilty by a jury Aug. 20.
