• Respiratory Illnesses On The Rise: See What's Circulating, Find Vaccines In MD (patch.com) — Bel Air residents are being urged to prepare for a moderately severe flu season, with respiratory illnesses and vaccinations starting to tick up across Maryland. Local options include a Weis Pharmacy on West MacPhail Road in Bel Air, alongside other Harford County and regional sites offering flu and COVID-19 shots. Health officials emphasize getting vaccinated early as COVID-19, flu and RSV activity is expected to mirror last year's combined hospitalization levels.

• Section of Cedar Lane in Bel Air to close for approximately 10 days (belairnewsandviews.com) — Drivers in Bel Air should prepare for Cedar Lane to be closed between Cedar Day Drive and Cedar Lane Regional Park for about ten days starting Monday, October 19, for road repairs. Cedar Lane Regional Park will stay open with access only from Calvary Road, and even emergency vehicles and school buses cannot pass through the work zone.
