Police Chase from I-95 Ends in Bel Air
A teen was taken into custody off MD 24 with weapons and ammunition inside his vehicle, Maryland State Police said.

BEL AIR, MD — A 19-year-old Virginia man who led police on a miles-long pursuit from Interstate 95 to Bel Air Wednesday morning was being evaluated at Harford Memorial Hospital, police reported.
Troopers tried to stop the driver on I-95 north near mile marker 74 after his mother notified officials that he was on his way to New York and planned to kill someone, according to Maryland State Police.
Authorities said they found a knife, Taser, shotgun and ammunition inside his vehicle when it was ultimately stopped in Bel Air. There was no evidence that he harmed anyone, and the teen was not being identified because he was not charged with anything, police reported Wednesday afternoon.

Officials said they became involved with the teen after the Rockville barrack received a call at 8 a.m. to be on the lookout for an armed and dangerous man in a 1998 Toyota who possessed a knife and firearm who also suffered from mental disorders.
The Rockville barrack communicated with the JFK barrack, which patrols a 50-mile stretch of Interstate 95 between Baltimore and Cecil counties. The teen was said to be in the Baltimore area.
