BEL AIR, MD — The Harford County Sheriff's Office has announced it will hold a public discussion on school safety. The announcement comes after law enforcement officials have investigated several threats this week in Harford County Public Schools. None of the threats that officials have investigated has been deemed credible.
The school safety forum will be on Thursday, March 1, and will be a town hall-style forum. Local leaders and law enforcement officials from the Harford County Sheriff's Office and municipal police departments will be on hand, as will officials from Harford County government and Harford County Public Schools.
Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler will deliver opening remarks, as will County Executive Barry Glassman and Superintendent Barbara Canavan.
