Serious Crash Reported Off Abingdon Road

Drivers should anticipate delays near Abingdon Thursday afternoon, Harford County officials reported.

At 4:25 p.m., the Harford County Office of Emergency Management said a serious crash had been reported on Abingdon Road in the area of Sewell Road.

The road was temporarily closed, according to the report.

At least one person was injured in the collision, the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association reported.

Two school buses were caught in the backup of vehicles as a result of the crash; however, officials said they were not involved in the crash itself.

The Harford County Office of Emergency Management advised avoiding the area for at least an hour.
