Status of Bel Air Fourth of July Events Up in Air

The Bel Air Independence Day Committee kicked off Fourth of July in the usual manner Saturday morning, with a pancake breakfast and horseshoe pitching, among other activities.

With rain in the forecast until Saturday evening, organizers say the parade is still on for 6 p.m.

That said, there will be an official decision on the parade at approximately 3 p.m. and on fireworks as late as 9 p.m., according to the Bel Air Police Department.
