Suicide Reported at Bel Air Parking Garage

The Bel Air Police Department said the person was pronounced deceased at the scene.

BEL AIR, MD – A person died Monday morning in Bel Air near the Hickory Avenue parking garage, according to the Bel Air Police Department.

At 7:58 a.m. on Monday, police responded to South Hickory Avenue for a reported suicide, officials said.

Officers saw a person near the Pennsylvania Avenue driveway entrance to the garage, and the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company declared the individual deceased at the scene, police reported.

Authorities are working to notify the next of kin and have not released the person's identity.

This is the third suicide reported at the Bel Air parking garage in less than two years. People have jumped to their deaths there in October 2014 and June 2015.
