Third Man Charged In Bushmill Tavern Stabbing
An Abingdon man has been charged with attempted murder in the stabbing at Bushmill Tavern; he is the third man charged in the case.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Authorities said a third person was charged with attempted murder and other offenses in a stabbing at Bushmill Tavern. He turned himself in over the weekend after a warrant was issued for his arrest, officials reported.
Richard Anthony Holbrook, 37 of the 4000 block of Timothy Drive in Abingdon, faces five charges: attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, according to court records.
The charges stem from an argument that authorities said started inside the Bushmill Tavern in the 4000 block of Philadelphia Road.

When the confrontation continued outside, it became physical and the victim was stabbed in the upper body, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Officers were called to a reported stabbing at 2:11 a.m. on Thursday, March 7.

Before deputies arrived, they said the attackers had left the scene.
One person suffered injuries that officials said were minor as a result of the stabbing on March 7.
The Abingdon Fire Company took the victim to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. He had been treated and released by 7 a.m. on Thursday following the after-hours stabbing in the parking lot of the business, according to the Bushmill Tavern.
John Delmer Knopp, 38, of the 2800 block of Creswell Road in Bel Air, and Dominic Leon Sykes, 39, of the 4000 block of Timothy Drive in Abingdon, were arrested on March 9 and taken to the Harford County Detention Center, where both are being held without bail.
Holbrook was arrested on Saturday, March 16, court records show. He turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Holbrook is slated to appear for a bail review hearing on Monday, March 18, in connection with the stabbing, according to court records. He is also being held without bail.
