UPS Tractor-Trailer Overturns On I-95 Spilling Diesel Fuel: Official

A UPS tractor-trailer overturned on I-95, causing it to leak diesel fuel. All lanes of I-95 were closed and the Hazmat team was called in.

ABERDEEN, MD — A UPS tractor-trailer overturned along I-95 Tuesday night and began leaking diesel fuel. Both northbound and southbound lanes of I-95 were shut down between exits 80 and 85.

Volunteer firefighters from the Aberdeen Fire Department, Inc., Susquehanna Hose Company and Abingdon Fire Company - MD, along with an EMS unit and the hazmat team from the Harford County Department of Emergency Services were on hand.

A Maryland State Police - Aviation Command medevac also was called to fly the driver to a hospital for treatment.
