2015 Bethesda Row Arts Festival

18th Annual Festival Features 190 of the Nation's Finest Artisans as Bethesda Row is Transformed Into An Outdoor Gallery October 17 & 18

18TH ANNUAL BETHESDA ROW ARTS FESTIVAL

The Bethesda Row Arts Festival is one of the leading fine art and craft festivals in the mid-Atlantic. Each October the streets of Bethesda Row are transformed into an outdoor gallery containing spectacular fine arts and crafts for sale from some of the nation’s outstanding artists and crafters whose work has been selected for technique, originality, and art quality. The finest in ceramics, drawings, fabrics, glass, graphics, jewelry, metalwork, paintings, pastels, photography, printmaking, sculpture, wood and mixed media will be on display from nearly 200 artists from throughout the United States and Canada. In addition to original artwork, attendees will enjoy some of the area’s best musical acts, food and dining, plus hands-on children’s art activities. This annual fall festival favorite will be held Saturday, October 17, 11 am to 6 pm and Sunday, October 18, 10 am to 5 pm.
The Bethesda Row Arts Festival continues the tradition of free attendance while financially helping kids through NIH Children’s Charities by raising funds and awareness for NIH’s Camp Fantastic/Special Love, Inc., Friends of the Clinical Center, and The Children’s Inn. These three wonderful organizations are instrumental in providing much needed support for young patients and their families. The Bethesda Row Arts Festival offers an Art Sale thanks to donations from participating festival artists which benefits the NIH Children’s Charities, and the charity also presents children’s art activities available for a small donation.
Bethesda Row is a sensory delight. A popular dining and shopping destination, Bethesda Row covers four city blocks located on Woodmont and Bethesda Avenues, Bethesda Lane, and Elm Street, east of Arlington Road, and features shaded sidewalk cafés, antique street lights, benches, music, shops, boutiques and the renovated Landmark Theatre.

Acoustical live music will be presented during the Festival on a stage at the intersection of Elm Street and Woodmont Avenue. The 18th annual Bethesda Row Arts Festival is free to the public. The festival is two blocks from the Bethesda Metro station and 15 minutes from downtown Metrorail stops. Over 16 FREE and paid parking garages are also conveniently located surrounding the Festival.
