3 Bethesda Eateries Where You'll Find Healthy, Filling Dishes

BETHESDA, MD — It can be difficult to find a healthy and satisfying meal. Luckily, there are plenty of restaurants in the D.C. metro area that offer delicious and nutritious meals, according to Eater.

The list, released on Tuesday, features a total of 11 dining destinations — some of them are in Bethesda. Check them out below:

Terrain Garden Cafe
Philly-based chain Terrain Garden Cafe opened its fifth location in downtown Bethesda late last year. The plant-filled restaurant offers a seasonal menu of farm-fresh foods, indoor and outdoor seating, and the perfect backdrop for Instagram.

Dishes include: green chickpea hummus with asparagus, carrots, flatbread crackers, and zhoug; a harvest bowl with quinoa, kale falafel, sumac chickpeas, asparagus, carrots, and watermelon radish; and roasted chicken breast and cardamom spiced farro with green tomato harissa, pickled raddish, and fresh garbanzo.

Terrain Garden Cafe is located inside Anthropologie & Co. at 7228 Woodmont Ave.

True Food Kitchen
True Food Kitchen is a national chain founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, a doctor of integrative medicine. So it makes sense that the restaurant made it onto Eater's list.

At True Food, it's all about making delicious and nutritious dishes and beverages that make you feel better, not worse. Items on the menu include kale guacamole, Mediterranean quinoa, chicken sausage, spaghetti squash casserole, and grilled fish tacos.

The restaurant is located at 7100 Wisconsin Ave.

Beefsteak
Serial restauranteur and humanitarian José Andrés is known for his decadent dishes and well-crafted beverages. And at Beefsteak, you can be sure to get a healthy meal without sacrificing flavor.

What you need to know: Beefsteak isn't a vegetarian restaurant, but it does mostly offer vegetables. Makes sense since Beefsteak's motto is "Vegetables, unleashed." Customers can choose from a wide selection of hearty grains, crisp greens, flavorful meats, freshly-made sauces, and more.

The fast-casual restaurant is inside Westfield Montgomery, which is located at 7101 DemocracyBoulevard.
