Bethesda Energy Efficiency Firm Ranked Highly on '2016 Inc. 5000'
Green Generation Solutions is ranked number 380 on Inc. Magazine's Annual List of America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies.

BETHESDA, MD - Inc. Magazine ranked Green Generation Solutions LLC (GreenGen) number 380 on its 35th annual Inc. 5000 with revenues exceeding $11 million in 2015, up more than 1,000 percent since its inception in 2011. The Inc. 5000 is an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. It represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the American economy—its independent entrepreneurs.

Out of the top 500, GreenGen was among nine companies from Maryland and one of only two from Montgomery County, MD. Similar companies were listed under several categories including solar and energy. Among these firms doing demand-side energy work, GreenGen ranked fifth.

Since its inception five years ago, GreenGen has generated more than $4 million in annual energy-related savings for its clients, creating long-term value for clients’ assets and businesses. In that time, the firm’s annual revenues have grown in excess of 1,000 percent, and staff has more than doubled, as the firm has expanded globally, recently opening offices in London and Tokyo.
The 2016 Inc. 5000 was unveiled online at Inc.com and the top 500 companies—including GreenGen—are featured in the September issue of Inc. The average company on the list grew nine-fold over a three-year period. Collectively, the Inc. 5000 companies generated 55,000 jobs.
Companies are ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2012 to 2015. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2012. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent‒not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies‒as of December 31, 2015. The minimum revenue required for 2012 is $100,000; the minimum for 2015 is $2 million.
