Bethesda Outdoor Movie Series Returns With Musicals And A Mystery

The Bethesda Urban Partnership will present the 17th annual Bethesda Outdoor Movies: Stars on the Avenue from July 28-30.

BETHESDA, MD — The Bethesda Urban Partnership will present the 17th annual Bethesda outdoor movie series from July 28-30.

The free outdoor movie series is returning after not being held since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Attendees can enjoy three evenings of major motion pictures. Various genres will be showcased, including a classic summer film, a favorite musical, and a recent mystery.

Show times will begin at 9 p.m. at the corner of Norfolk and Auburn Avenues in Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle.

The movie schedule is:

  • Thursday, July 28: Dirty Dancing
  • Friday, July 29: Mamma Mia!
  • Saturday, July 30: Knives Out

Residents and visitors are encouraged to arrive early and bring their own lawn chairs. A limited number of chairs will also be provided.

Woodmont Triangle is home to numerous restaurants, ice cream, and coffee shops, and attendees are invited to enjoy dinner or a snack before the 9 p.m. movie start.

Parking is available in the Auburn Avenue garage adjacent to the event site.
