Café To Permanently Close This Month

The Baruch Café in Bethesda will close its doors permanently by the end of the month.

BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE, MD — A year after opening its doors to residents, a boutique coffee shop is announcing its closure.

The Baruch Café announced Monday that its Bethesda shop would permanently close March 29.

"We're sad to say goodbye, but we know that every ending brings new beginnings," reads a post shared by the café. "Thank you for all the wonderful memories."

It did not explain what prompted the decision, or if there's a chance the business could be reopened at another point in time.

Baruch Café opened December 2024 on the ground floor of the Gallery Bethesda apartment complex. The café is known for its mix of specialty items, ranging from Omakase to Alfajores.

The café, located at 4841 Delray Ave., is open on the weekends from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
