Work will occur between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. east of the MD 355 intersection, according to Maryland Department of Transportation.

Nighttime pedestrians and passing motorists will have to particular attention as crews work overnight hours for the next two weeks to install a new storm drain along Cedar Lane. The work will close the sidewalk between Rockville Pike and Elmhirst Parkway.
Weather permitting, crews will begin work on Sunday night, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Pedestrians are encouraged to use Elmhirst Parkway and Elmhirst Drive as an alternate route, according to the Maryland Transportation Department.
The work is part of a $13.8 million project to improve traffic and safety at the Rockville Pike and Cedar Lane intersection. The entire project is expected to be completed by summer 2016.
