Deli Shop To Open New Branch
The Marathon Deli will be opening a new location in Kensington, marking its first base in the county.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — The selection of eateries in the county is expanding for residents, as a treasured locale looks to establish a new base.
After years of planning, the Marathon Deli will be opening at 10619 Connecticut Ave in Kensington. The MoCo Show reported that the opening would be held May 8.
The deli is considered a College Park staple, specializing in classic Greek eats like gyros, souvlaki, spanakopita, and for its specialty, Marathon sauce.

The shop is also known among University of Maryland students for its value meals.
Marathon Deli's current College Park base is at 7412 Baltimore Ave.

Diners can stop in anytime Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., and from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. between Thursday and Saturday. On Sunday, the shop stays open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
