BETHESDA, MD — A GoFundMe page set up for a Walter Johnson High School teacher who died of injuries suffered in a March 13 car crash has already raised more than $31,000.
Jon Bos died on March 19 — six days after he suffered a traumatic brain injury in a wreck near his home. Organizers of the GoFundMe page said Bos was on his way to pick up milk from a store when a driver swerved into his lane.
"It is with heavy hearts that we inform you that Jon Bos succumbed to the injuries that he sustained in the car accident on Friday, March 13th. His wife, Renee, and brother, Mark, were by his side at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland in Baltimore on Thursday, March 19th," the organizers wrote. "Your compassion and support sustains Jon's family and friends as they cope with this immeasurable loss. From your outpouring of love and generosity for Jon Bos and his family, it is abundantly clear that he lived life fully. He touched all of our lives in immeasurable ways and will be missed by all of us so very much."
