Fall Into Art

The brilliant Fall season with all it glory is depicted in the latest paintings of Vian Borchert which are on exhibit in Montgomery County.

Good quality art endures!
A few weeks ago, a gallerist challenged me to paint Fall paintings. I took on the challenge, and happily took myself to a trip to the candy store - I mean the art store where I went overboard purchasing beautiful shades of oranges and yellows from neon Halloween pumpkin orange to gamboge banana and lemon yellows. I started playing around with compositions depicting the Fall leaves and abstracted versions of Fall woods and landscape. Little did I know that around the corner there would could come exhibitions celebrating Fall Colors where these latest paintings are now on display.
Opening today is an exhibition titled “Autumn Colors” where some of my Fall seasonally themed paintings are on view at “Park View Gallery” in Maryland. “Fall Leaves”, a Watercolor mixed media painting along with “Fall Landscape" are on display at the group exhibit which showcases the brilliant colors of the season. The exhibit consists of artwork from Glen Echo art instructors and resident artists.
Here are the exhibition's details:
