Foxtrot Market Abruptly Closes Bethesda Store, Other Locations
Foxtrot, a corner store with café food and drinks, announced it was shutting down several locations, including those in the D.C. area.

WASHINGTON, DC — Foxtrot Market, a Chicago-based chain of high-end coffee shops and convenience stores, announced on Tuesday it had shut down its Bethesda store and all other locations — eight of which are in the D.C. area.
A note on Foxtrot's website says all stores closed on April 23. The brand had 33 Foxtrot locations and two Dom's Kitchen locations in the Washington, D.C., Chicago, Austin and Dallas areas.
The Bethesda store was located at 7262 Woodmont Ave.

The closing announcement noted there was "no viable option" to continue the business.
"We understand this news may come as a shock, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may cause," the business stated. "We genuinely appreciate your understanding during this challenging time."

Foxtrot Market in Bethesda opened on Nov. 18, 2022, the fifth location in the Washington, D.C., area.
The café offered coffees, seasonal drinks, fresh smoothies, breakfast tacos, chef-prepared salads and bowls, and grab-and-go meals for lunch and dinner. The market sold everyday essentials, plus local craft beers and wines hand-selected by an in-house sommelier.
Other area locations included Old Town Alexandria and Rosslyn in Virginia, as well as Georgetown, Dupont Circle, Navy Yard, Farragut Square, and Mount Vernon in Washington, D.C.
Foxtrot thanked customers and staff for their support over the years.
"It has been our highest honor to elevate the everyday and create a remarkable shopping experience for people who love food as much as we do," the business shared. "It has been a privilege serving you and being part of your everyday lives."
