Art Gallery Opening at White Flint Station

ArtinBuildings is pleased to present the opening of an art gallery on Sunday, November 15th, 2015, from 2pm to 4pm, at 11800 Old Georgetown Rd N Bethesda MD 20852. It’s a 3min walk from the whit flint metro, and there is free street parking. All artworks are for sale (between $20- $2000). Enjoy appetizers and wine, and meet the artists.

The gallery opening will feature the original artwork of six local artists (in alphabetical order): Linda Button, Mary K. Donahoe, Abraham Garcia, Carlos Garcia, Songmi Heart, and David Ralph. Here is an introduction of each artist and their work:

Linda Button captures the thrill and satisfaction of window shopping by bringing you to the upscale NYC where designer dresses are shown in the spotless windows. As you walk by or see from a distance, you admire the luxurious garments as you see reflection of the active street life on the glass.

Mary K. Donahoe’s abstracts are direct experiences of color and motion free from narrative burden. Self-contained objects set within the calming geometry of hand-crafted frames, they invite reflection and meditation.

Songmi Heart depicts the dream and inspiration from ocean waves, music and emotions of human connection. Her strokes and lines are dancers spinning on canvas, bringing you the rhapsody as well as the tranquility she experiences.

Abraham Garcia infuses fun and spirit into his paintings by transcribing the interactions of animals and nature to his canvases.

Carlos Garcia illustrates his vision of colorful and dramatic beauty through his daring choices of shapes and layers, from where you can feel the flicking bright light and cascading floats formed in harmony.

David Ralph’s portraits are the emotional reflection of their subjects. The tension in the real estate near home plate, the calm of a morning lover, the passion between a guitar and the guitarist, the call of the base drum– all began by David asking, “How would this moment’s emotion paint itself, if it could?”

Now, can you tell which work comes from which artist?

Future open hours will normally be 5pm -9pm weekdays and 9-10pm weekends. Any inquiries, please contact Yajie Li (412) 600.5950
