Jon Wilkins Joins National Kidney Foundation of Maryland Board

Chevy Chase resident brings 21 years in management consulting & government experience

LUTHERVILLE, Md. −The National Kidney Foundation of Maryland (NKF-MD) has elected Jon S. Wilkins to a three-year term on its board of directors.

Wilkins brings a combined 21 years of experience in management consulting and the government. After graduating summa cum laude from Dartmouth College and earning a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School, he began his career as a law clerk for Hon. J. Frederick Motz (Senior Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland).

After serving as a policy advisor at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), he moved to McKinsey & Company, starting as an associate and working his way up to partner. In 2013, he returned to the FCC as managing director.

Supporting NKF-MD board is especially meaningful to him because his son underwent a kidney transplant at Johns Hopkins Children Center in 2007. Wilkins resides in Chevy Chase with his wife, Elizabeth Cavanagh, and their two children, John and Grace.
