Little Sesame Opening On Bethesda Row Later This Year
Little Sesame—known for its hummus bowls and pita sandwiches—will open a shop on Bethesda Row later this year. There are two in D.C.

BETHESDA, MD — Hummus and pita shop Little Sesame will come to Bethesda Row later this year, becoming its first location outside of Washington, D.C.
Co-founders Nick Wiseman, David Wiseman and Ronen Tenne will open the shop at 7118 Bethesda Lane — they did not name an exact date for the opening.
“We’ve always wanted to open a shop in Bethesda," said Wiseman in a release. “We got such a warm welcome to our Sugar Fox Pop Up and the Bethesda Central Farm Market and we’re thrilled to plant permanent roots in this community.”

Little Sesame's menu consists of hummus bowls, pita sandwiches, salads, small plates and soft-serve ice cream. It was founded in 2015 — Tenne and Nick Wiseman met when they were both chefs in New York City. The pair joined forces with Nick's cousin, David, to create Little Sesame.
"From traveling to farming, Little Sesame is a reflection of what inspires us," Little Sesame's website says. "First and foremost, it’s about really good food. But it’s also a place where we honor our experiences and strive to be bold, fun, and creative."

The new store in Bethesda will have 20 indoor seats and 20 outdoor seats, the announcement says. It will neighbor Neuhaus Chocolate, Le Pain Quotidien and more.

“We are pleased to welcome Little Sesame’s first Maryland location to Bethesda Row adding to the vibrant and growing mix of DC-based restaurants in the neighborhood,” said Stuart Biel, Senior Vice President with Federal Realty Investment Trust, which helps to develop retail stores.
