Man Impaled in Fall at Bethesda Construction Site

The man was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital.

A construction worker fell off a ladder and was impaled in the 8800 block of Ridge Road in Bethesda Friday, authorities say.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue crews took the victim to meet a Medevac helicopter at Bradley Hills Elementary School on Hartsdale Avenue about 6 p.m. Friday, reports Montgomery Community Media.

According to tweets from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services spokesman Pete Piringer, the construction worker was impaled on a piece of rebar on the ground around the house.

Piringer said the man suffered a traumatic injury.

His name and condition have not been released.
