Mark Your Calendar for the April Smithsonian Craft Show
Come to the Smithsonian Craft show, April 23-26, to see and buy fine craft created by the best contemporary American artists.
Mark you calendars so you don’t miss the 33rd annual spring Smithsonian Craft Show. This show will take place at the National Building Museum, located at 401 F Street, NW, Washington, DC, Thursday, April 23 through Sunday, April 26. The Building Museum is across the street from the Judiciary Square Red Line Metro stop. Hours of the show are Thursday 10:30 am–7:30 pm (Cash Bar after 5pm), Friday 10:30 am–7:30 pm, Saturday 10:30 am–5:30 pm, Sunday 11:00 am–5:00 pm.
General Admission tickets $20, Group Rate $15 (10 or more by advance purchase), Children 12 & under free (No strollers permitted). Call 888-832-9554 or email austrpr@si.edu to order tickets in advance.
This show is considered to be the most prestigious juried show and sale of fine American sculptural objects and design in the country.

World-renowned glass artist Toots Zynsky will be the recipient of the show’s Visionary Award, which is presented to top artists in the world of sculptural arts and design. Zynsky is also Honorary Chair of the 33rd annual event.
The show consists of a dazzling exhibition of creativity, innovation and technical mastery. 121 distinguished craft artists selected from a pool of more than 1,100 artists nationwide in the “Quest for the Best” work in their fields will display one-of-a-kind or limited edition works in 12 different media —from furniture and ceramics to glass and wearable art.

The Great Collector Series of Lectures featuring nationally-known experts in the field of fine craft and design will take place in the National Building Museum auditorium. Admission is free with ticket to the show.
