Maryland Renaissance fair still going on until October 21
the events and fun at Renaissance faire in Crownsville,Maryland

The year is 1529. King Henry VIII, accompanied by his sister Margaret, Queen dowager of Scotland, Anne Boleyn and the royal court visit the village of Revel Grove as part of their annual summer progress and the village's Harvest Festival. They will be in Crownsville until October 21st this year.
All is in for the grand old Renaissance Fair which has been a yearly event for 37 years in Crownsville, Maryland. There is mead and food and booths of all kinds, you may buy a sword or take part in singing, There are plenty of artsy items to purchase for the kids and adults
The festival is more than a crafts show, more than an entertainment venue. For many people it has been a family tradition that now spans a generation. Patrons who visited the festival as a child now return to introduce their kids to the unforgettable world of the Maryland Renaissance Festival. The village has a new mayor - Richard Mondes who will help one to acheive a credible view of the 15th century. The costumes are truly original and very realistic. It is art in motion with the King and his entourage.

The cost is 26.00$ for an adult ticket to get in. For groups and seniors and children there are discounts available. Parking is fairly easy at the park, and there is a lot of walking and trails on the grounds.
There is a jousting tournament, and jugglers and magicians. A whole lot of food to try and many desserts and sweets.
