MD Woman Accused Of Biting VA Police Officer, Fairgrounds Staffer
Virginia police say a Bethesda woman bit a staffer at the Prince William County Fairgrounds and a police officer while she was arrested.
BETHESDA, MD — Daira Zuleika Luna, a 21-year-old Bethesda woman, was arrested and is facing several charges after being accused of biting two people, including a police officer.
A release by the Prince William County Police Department in Virginia states Luna was taken into custody on Sunday after a confrontation broke out at the Manassas fairgrounds on 10624 Dumfries Road.
Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 7:30 p.m. and determined that an intoxicated Luna had been acting aggressively toward fairground staffers before she bit one of the workers.

Luna, according to the department, later bit a Prince William County Police Officer while being handcuffed.
The police agency did not detail the extent of either bite but did indicate the officer suffered minor injuries.

Luna was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, assault and battery, public intoxication, and trespassing. She was held on a $5,000 secured bond, with a court date pending.
