Meet Piper: Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service's Newest K9
Say hello to the newest member of the MCFRS! Piper is a 15-month-old Labrador Retriever working to be certified in Human Remains Detection.
BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service's newest recruit is only 15 months old. In less than a year, she'll be able to find victims killed in fires and remain calm at trauma scenes.
Piper, a Labrador Retriever, is working to be certified in Human Remains Detection. Her handler and rescuer is John Gilkey.
It's safe to say that Piper is a very good girl.
