Residents To Weigh In On Future Montgomery County Dog Parks
Montgomery Parks is surveying residents until March to determine possible options for future dog parks.
BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery Parks is surveying residents to identify possible options for future dog parks.
The survey is part of The Dog Parks Site Suitability (DPSS) Study, which officials will reference when considering future park design and development projects. Information from the study may also be used to identify locations for pop-up dog park events.
Areas being considered are located within a half-mile of townhouses or multi-family homes.

- Playground proximity (at least 65 feet from playgrounds)
- Residence proximity (200 feet is the ideal distance from homes
- Parking
- Safety (i.e., lighting, visibility)
Residents can visit the Montgomery Parks Open Town Hall webpage to review parks in each Regional Services Center area. The deadline to weigh in on candidate park sites is March 31.
