Earlier this month, detectives began investigating allegations that between 2008 and 2011 O’Connor had on several occasions engaged in acts of inappropriate sexual contact with a boy. When the abuse began in 2008, the victim was 12 years old. The inappropriate sexual contact occurred both at O’Connor’s residence, as well as at the victim’s home, police say.

O’Connor was arrested late Wednesday night and charged with four counts of sexual abuse of a minor and four counts of third-degree sex offense. He is being held on $150,000 bond.

Because O’ Connor was a private instructor who had possible contact with other juveniles, investigators are concerned that there may be more victims.

Anyone who believes that he/she is a victim of O’Connor’s inappropriate conduct is asked to contact Detective Williams of the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400.
