Student Charged After Bomb Threat At Bethesda High School: Police
Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda was evacuated Friday morning after the school received a bomb threat, police said.

BETHESDA, MD — A 15-year-old student is facing charges following a bomb threat last week at Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda.
Montgomery County police responded to the school at 7100 block of Whittier Blvd. around 10:45 a.m. Friday after officials reported the threat. School administrators evacuated staff and students as police investigated, authorities said.
According to police, the threat was deemed invalid.

During the investigation, police identified the 15-year-old as a suspect. Police did not release they were charged as a juvenile.
According to police, the teen is facing charges including threats of mass violence and disrupting school operations. The case will be processed through the Department of Juvenile Services.
