Students at Bethesda Country Day School "Bug Out" with Ladybug Release in Celebration of Earth Day
On April 22, students released thousands of ladybugs into the environment to improve the health of local vegetation
On April 22, Bethesda Country Day School students in Bethesda got a little “buggy” in celebration of Earth Day. With the help of parents and teachers, students scattered across the schoolyard to release thousands of ladybugs back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. In the days leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs feed on insects that are harmful to gardens, trees and shrubs. Bethesda Country Day School teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at a young age.
