Tornado Watch in Effect for Most of Maryland

The National Weather Service says hail, thunderstorms are possible.

Most of the state is under a tornado watch from 3:05 to 10 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

A tornado watch means that conditions are favorable for tornadoes.

Severe thunderstorms are possible and could produce damaging wind gusts, hail and an isolated tornado, according to the National Weather Service.

The tornado watch applies to Baltimore City and Allegany, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Charles, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Kent, Montgomery, Prince George’s, Queen Anne’s, St. Mary’s, Talbot and Washington counties.
