Verizon Bethesda Store Reopens as SMART Store

Just in time for holiday shopping, come in Wednesday to browse latest technology and get more out of your devices.

After weeks of construction, the scaffolding is coming down and the Verizon Bethesda store, located at 6932 Wisconsin Ave., is reopening Wednesday as a SMART Store. Inside customers will find a whole new space, stocked with even more devices and accessories, and plenty of interactive kiosks.

The Verizon Bethesda store is the latest SMART Store to open, and the company’s first inside the Beltway, all part of a fleet-wide redesign that all 1,700 Verizon stores will conform to in the near future.

Verizon’s strategy to build or convert all stores into SMART Stores reflects the fact that most people only use about 10 percent of the capability of their mobile devices. SMART Stores like the new Bethesda one create spaces where customers can learn the capabilities of wireless devices, and find wireless solutions to help them lose weight, sleep better, stay healthy, reduce energy consumption, save energy costs, and keep their homes, kids and cars safe.

• Home and On The Go – for home monitoring and energy management

• Anywhere Business – for the mobile professional and entrepreneur

Verizon Smart Stores function as a real-life mobile laboratory where consumers of all ages can experiment firsthand with new solutions and test out the latest innovations like fitness bands and smart watches; HD wireless nanny-cams that beam images to parents’ phones; wireless door locks for keyless entry and added security; energy-saving devices that allow you to turn lights on or off remotely from a smartphone app; Bluetooth-controlled drones; and Go-Pro cameras.

The Verizon Smart Store also includes a dedicated workshop area with seating where an education specialist can share tips about getting the most out of a device and lead classes in front of a large touch-screen digital display. Customers also can visit the Customize It Zone and create colorful covers for their smartphones and personalize them with photos.

The Bethesda store is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 8pm with extended weekend and holiday hours found here:http://www.verizonwireless.com/stores/maryland/bethesda/bethesda-281500/
