Winning $50K Powerball Ticket Sold In MoCo
The winning ticket for a $50,000 Powerball prize was sold in Montgomery County this week. The takings remain unclaimed.
BETHESDA, MD — A winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold in Chevy Chase this week, officials announced Tuesday.
Maryland Lottery detailed in a news release that the winnings, which remain unclaimed, were won as part of Monday night's Powerball drawing.
The golden ticket was bought at the Chevy Chase Giant grocery store at 8500 Connecticut Ave.

The ticket was a third-tier match, meaning it only lined up with four of the first five numbers and the Powerball that was called by Maryland Lottery at the start of the week. Those winning numbers from Monday were 6, 19, 22, 28, 48 and a Powerball of 24.
The next Powerball drawing is set for Thursday and will have an estimated value of $126 million, of which $57.8 million is the estimated cash option.
