Woman Charged $700 to Missing Bethesda Man's Credit Card: Police
Montgomery County Police hope the public can identify a woman who reportedly charged $700 on the credit card of a missing Bethesda man.
BETHESDA, MD — In the two weeks since a Bethesda man disappeared from a family member's house, Montgomery County Police have had no sign of him or his car. But security video from an area store shows a woman with a little boy shopping, reportedly racking up $700 in charges using the missing man's credit card.
John Patrick Donohoe, 36, of Auburn Avenue, was last seen about 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 13 at a family member’s house on Elmore Lane in Bethesda. The relative returned home from running errands and found that Donohoe had left. Authorities say Donohoe's black 2011 Chevrolet Equinox with Maryland tag 2AK8853 was missing from the relative's house and has not been located.
On Wednesday, detectives released surveillance video of a woman with a little boy who apparently used a credit card belonging to Donohoe; police are asking for the public’s help identifying the woman.

Detectives say that on Thursday, Dec. 22, the woman used Donohoe's credit card to buy a total of $700 worth of items at a beauty supply store and at other retailers in the Hyattsville area. Authorities want to question the woman who was seen on the surveillance video using the credit card.
Donohoe is described as a white man, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighs 145 pounds. He has short black hair, brown eyes and a mustache. Police and family members are concerned for Donohoe’s emotional and physical welfare.
