On Oct. 3 shortly before midnight, officers were called to the 800 block of Irvington Street for a report of a shooting. The officers found two men with gunshot wounds. Derrick Graham, 41, of Oxon Hill was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. DeAngelo Moore, 32, of Washington, D.C., died of his injuries two days later, according to a police report.

The preliminary investigation indicates that 31-year-old Charles Washington, Jr. and 32-year-old Antonio Jackson, both of Washington, D.C., and Moore were attempting to rob Graham at gunpoint when the shooting happened. During the robbery attempt, both Moore and Graham were shot. Graham did not have a weapon. The three suspects were not known to the victim, police said.
