38-Year-Old Upper Marlboro Driver Dies After Hitting A Tree: Prince George's Police

A 38-year-old Upper Marlboro resident died after the vehicle the individual was driving left the road and hit a tree, police say.

PRINCE GEORGE"S COUNTY, MD — A 38-year-old Upper Marlboro resident was killed Tuesday night when the vehicle the individual was driving hit a tree.

Prince George's police officers were called to the 6400 block of Chew Road around 10 p.m. The preliminary investigation shows Courtney Chapman was traveling westbound on Chew Road, when for reasons that remain under investigation, Chapman crossed the double yellow line and hit a tree. Chapman was pronounced deceased on the scene, according to the police department.
