Akron Blanks Bowie, 4-0

Baysox offense doesn't get going as Bowie falls to Aeros Friday night

The Bowie bats were silent Friday night as Akron's pitchers took command en route to a 4-0 victory in an Eastern League game.

Bowie (18-17) slipped back into a tie for first place in the Eastern League's Western Division. The Baysox had their scoring chances but went 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position.

This is something that's plagued the Baysox all year—getting hits at the right time. Bowie couldn't do much offensively in this game, not even getting a hit until the fifth inning.

The Baysox finished with just three hits as Austin Adams (five innings) and Paolo Espino (four) combined on the shutout.
