Bowie couldn't come back from an early three-run deficit as Akron scored a 4-3 victory over the Baysox Monday night in an Eastern League game at Prince George's County Stadium.
The Aeros scored three quick runs in the top of the first off Bowie starter Eddie Gamboa (1-2) and led the entire game.
Bowie (5-6) got one run back when Brandon Waring hit an RBI double in the first and cut it to 3-2 on a Carlos Rojas RBI single in the second off winner Kelvin De La Cruz (1-2).

But Akron pushed across a run in the sixth, and Bowie didn't do anything until Caleb Joseph hit a solo homer in the ninth to make it 4-3—and that's where it ended.
Bowie got a good effort in relief from Raul Rivero, who threw four hitless innings after coming in for Gamboa in the sixth.
