Attempted Carjacking Reported Near University Of Maryland
Police reported an attempted carjacking that unfolded near the University of Maryland Saturday afternoon.
COLLEGE PARK, MD — An attempted carjacking has been reported near the University of Maryland campus in College Park.
The incident happened Saturday around 1:53 p.m. in the 3700 block of Campus Drive, according to University of Maryland Police.
A man approached a vehicle sitting in a parking garage. Three people were inside. The man pulled out a knife and ordered the people to get out of the parked vehicle. The people gave the suspect cash and then he took off. The suspect was last seen heading west on University Boulevard, away from campus.
