Ballard's Pitching Carries Baysox To Win

Mike Ballard gave Bowie eight solid innings as the Baysox rolled to a 3-1 victory over Richmond on the road Saturday night.

Ballard gave up one run on just three hits in eight innings. He improved to 2-0, and Armando Gabino got the save with a scoreless ninth.

Caleb Joseph gave Bowie a 1-0 lead with a solo homer in the fourth. Bowie got two more in the fifth, one on a wild pitch and another on a Greg Miclat single.

The final game of the series is set for Sunday afternoon in Richmond.
