Baysox Bang Out Three Homers, Beat Reading
Johnson throws seven strong innings in Bowie's victory.

Steve Johnson threw seven solid innings, and Bowie's offense helped him with three homers as the Baysox scored a 6-4 victory over Reading at Prince George's Stadium Tuesday night.
Johnson improved to 5-1 with his three-run, seven-hit effort in seven innings. He struck out six and walked two. Pedro Viola closed it for his second save.
Brandon Waring, Robbie Widlansky and Joe Mahoney each banged out solo homers. Waring's been struggling at the plate all season, but he's now got four homers in the last three games.

The Baysox finished with only six hits in the game while Reading got 13. But Bowie was able to hang on.
Bowie improved to 33-31 on the season. The Baysox crept back to 2 1/2 games behind first-place Harrisburg, who has dropped three straight.
