Baysox Get Needed Relief In 7-6 Win
Bullpen comes up big to help Baysox edge Erie to get back to .500 mark.

Bowie jumped out to a big early lead, but the Baysox needed big efforts from Cole McCurry and Jose Diaz out of the bullpen to hang on for a 7-6 victory over Erie in a road game Thursday night.
The Baysox (7-7) took a 7-1 lead by the top of the fifth. Robbie Widlansky hit a two-run double in the first. Jeff Fiorentino added an RBI single in the second plus a two-run homer two innings later.
Xavier Avery ran wild once more, stealing two bases and increaing his season total to 12 already. Starter Richard Zagone (1-0) gave up six runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings—and struck out six.
