Baysox Jump Ahead Early, Top Altoona, 6-1
Miclat sparks offense; Zagone throws six sharp innings.
Rick Zagone threw six strong innings, and Greg Miclat went 4-for-4 with three runs scored to help Bowie beat Altoona, 6-1, Friday night.
Zagone (3-6) gave up one run on four hits and struck out seven for his first win since June 8. Eddie Gamboa threw three scoreless innings to earn his first save this season.
Miclat continued his recent hot streak. He scored three runs and drove in one and is now 10-for-14 in his last four games.

Buck Britton and Kyle Hudson each added two RBI in the road victory.
Bowie scored three runs for an early 3-0 lead in the second and never trailed in the game. The Baysox improved to 44-41 and crept into third place in the Western Division, one-half game ahead of Akron.
