Ronnie Welty's RBI double in the top of the 16th gave the Baysox a 3-2 victory over Richmond on Thursday night.
Welty doubled in Carlos Rojas, who had walked earlier in the inning. Bowie (20-20) also had another long game earlier this season—18 innings—and it won that one also.
Robbie Widlansky got an RBI single in the fourth, and Bowie pushed across a run in the top of the 10th thanks to a fielding error. That gave the Baysox a brief 2-1 lead.

But Jose Diaz couldn't close it in the bottom half as Richmond tied it thanks to a Bowie fielding error. The game then dragged on until Welty's hit.
Edwin Quirarte (0-2) took the loss while Pedro Viola (3-1) got the win in the four-hour, 43-minute marathon. Quirarte was forced to bat in the 16th as Richmond lost its designated hitter earlier—and Viola struck him out to end the game.
