Body Found Lying in the Roadway in Hyattsville: Police

Police say the victim had been shot to death.

HYATTSVILLE, MD — Police are investigating the shooting death of a man who was found lying in the roadway in Hyattsville Wednesday morning.

Police were called to the 5300 block of Crittenden Street at 6:40 a.m. to a report of a man lying in the roadway. They arrived to find 40-year-old Ramiro Moya, who resided on the street, dead from a gunshot wound, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

Police have no suspect or apparent motive in the case.

The report adds: "Anyone with information on this fatal shooting is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 301-772-4925.
