Bowie Edges New Britain In Extra Innings

Baysox score in 10th for 4-3 victory over Rock Cats Sunday

Steven Lerud hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Bowie a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over New Britain on Sunday at Prince George's Stadium.

Bowie fell behind, 3-0, early in the game but started to rally with two runs in the fifth. L.J. Hoes drove in a run with a ground-out, and Billy Rowell's sacrifice fly made it 3-2.

The Baysox tied it on a Hoes RBI single in the seventh. But Bowie won it in the 10th inning.  Ronnie Welty started the inning with a double, and Hoes sacrificed him over to third base.
