Bowie Fire Department, Rescue to Hold Open House

Fire-fighting and rescue demonstrations will be held Oct. 18, and the importance of smoke alarms will be emphasized.

Watch fire-fighting demonstrations, rescues and more at the Bowie Fire Department’s 30th annual Fire Prevention Open House.

The event will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine, at the Freestate Mall Fire Station (Company 39 - Belair), 15454 Annapolis Road.

Join the Bowie Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad for live demonstrations and displays of fire trucks, as well as other public safety vehicles/equipment.

This year, the department will follow the theme established by the National Fire Protection Association for Fire Prevention Week, “Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives.”
