Bowie Hall of Honor Nominations Accepted

The deadline to nominate someone who has made a major contribution to the city is March 7.

BOWIE, MD — Applications are being accepted for the Bowie Hall of Honor, developed in 1991 to recognize residents who have made “major and lasting contributions” to the city.

The first inductees were honored in 1994.

A nominee to the Hall of Honor must: be deceased for at least one year as of the nomination deadline; have made both a major and lasting contribution to the City of Bowie; and have been a resident of the City of Bowie either during the time of their contribution or at the time of their death.

The deadline to submit nominations for the 2015 Hall of Honor is 5 p.m. Monday, March 7, at City Hall, 15901 Excalibur Road, Bowie, MD 20716.
